Easy peasy recipes

I had my Husband’s Aunt and Grandmother over this week and in order to impress them, I called round my Twitter peeps and asked them for any dessert recipes they had. The responses were mouth watering and I realised that I just had to include them on my blog.

Who doesn’t like desserts, they are certainly my favourite thing to attempt in the kitchen as each step in their creation is fun. Mmm licking out the bowl when you’re making brownies is one of the best bits of the whole process and then there is the divine cooking smell and the anticipation of waiting for the finished product! 

So here are some of the suggested recipes that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and an extra pound on your thighs! And what's more, they are simple, no-fuss, no airs, desserts.


Banana on a stick 
 Bananas.
Melted chocolate.
Toppings of your choice.
Access to a freezer.

Dip bananas in melted chocolate, roll in preferred toppings, freeze.


Wicked Chocolate pots
250ml- double cream.
250ml- Mascarpone.
250ml- Creme fraiche.
300g- Dark chocolate.

Melt chocolate, add mascarpone, add cream and mix. Pour mixture into small pots (glass also work). Chill for 20min and then add a dollop of crème fraiche.



Rocky Road bars 
2 big bars of Caburys chocolate.
125g Butter.
3 tablespoons golden syrup.
200g Rich tea biscuits.
100g mini marshmallows.

Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in a saucepan - Scoop 125ml (aprox) into a bowl. -Crush biscuits -Mix the cruched biscuits, and marshmallows into your main mixture (in saucepan) -Put it all in a dish then pour the 125ml of  separate mix over the top -Leave to set in fridge.
