Guiltless tasting

Every once in a while, you find a foodie website that literally makes you drool everywhere. You are so tantalized by the images and recipes that you see that you forecabally have to hold yourself back from smothering your screen/phone/ipad with your tongue.

Gilt Taste is such a website.

The only problem is, they are based in the US. *sigh* so my tummy is rumbling with no way of feeding it. So instead I shall have to just oggle. Wanna join me? These are my top pics.

photograph of Vidal Ice Syrup by Mikuni Wild HarvestCrafted in Canada, this non-alcoholic Ice Syrup is the consistency of maple syrup, but flavored like a bright plummy wine.

photo of Madras Coconut Curry and Cashew Boxes479 Popcorn's organic popcorn is tossed in a handmade, house-blended Madras curry alongside toasted coconut and roasted cashews for the best chaat-style treat this side of Mumbai.

photo of Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter CookiesCalling all nuts! Nina Burr's dark chocolate peanut butter cookies strike the perfect balance between salty and sweet. We could barely believe that they're gluten-free—yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as life without wheat.

photo of Newbie Cheese PackageWe’ve all got friends who "aren’t into" cheese. This package will change their minds: the Vermont chèvre is lemony and mild; the Gorgonzola cremificato has nothing in common with the dull dolce so often found in America; the French double-crème Brie is unctuously creamy; and the charming, nutty Gruyère is bound to win over even the most rabid cheese-skeptic. Spanish fig jam and crunchy olive-oil crackers will help seal the deal.
photo of Office Escape PicnicYou have a lunch hour. Use it. This briefcase—oops, picnic box—is equipped with fully compostable tableware for an eco-friendly picnic. So what are you waiting for? Sneak out of the office for a well-deserved, sun-soaked break.
